OKC Thunder set roster ahead of season opener
By Rylan Stiles
The OKC Thunder start their season on Tuesday, when they match up with the Golden State Warriors. The roster for the start of the season is now set.
It was announced Friday afternoon that the OKC Thunder were making even more roster moves. After waving K.J. McDaniels, Bryce Alford, and Richard Solomon earlier this week the Thunder inked Donte Grantham, Dez Wells, and Scotty Hopkins to training camp deals.
Today, OKC waived the aforementioned Grantham, Wells, and Hopson as well as Abdul Gaddy. Gaddy surprisingly survived the first wave of cuts earlier this week, but his dismissal was inevitable.
Now, the Thunder have their sixteen man roster set.

Guards: Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schröder, Raymond Felton
Wings: Paul George, Andre Roberson, Alex Abrines, Terrance Ferguson, Hamidou Diallo, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Abdel Nader.
Big men: Steven Adams, Patrick Patterson, Jerami Grant, and Nerlens Noel.
Two-way deals: Deonte Burton, and Tyler Davis.
The OKC Thunder, like last year, will enter the year with an open roster spot. A year ago they filled that hole with Corey Brewer after Andre Roberson went down with an injury.
Everybody hurts
Abdel Nader has missed all of the preseason with knee soreness, which has left OKC fans wondering about his status. Today, we got a little more clarity on the situation.
Hopefully, Nader will be ready to go by Tuesday night. Terrance Ferguson was dealt a blow to the head in the Thunder’s final preseason game against the Hawks, placing him in concussion protocol.
Tuesday will mark a week from the Hawks contest and Ferguson should be cleared by then.
Many, assume he will start at shooting guard in place of Andre Roberson.
Russell Westbrook is progressing, but no official word as to if he will be ready to go against the Warriors on Tuesday night or not.
