OKC BEST SHOT AT AWARD

Tamberlyn Richardson

Hard not to envision Dennis Schroder in the mix for Sixth Man. OKC’s bench has been anemic offensively the past two seasons. If Schroder captains this unit to relevancy and proves Westbrook can play off ball in clutch time he’ll be a shoo-in as one of the three MIP candidates.

Lawrence George

Dennis Schroder will be the difference between OKC being the second and sixth seed. If he is able to combine his skills with Russ and PG, the Thunder should be there inside the top three.

Rylan Stiles

Russell Westbrook-MVP-If he has the individual numbers, the team success, and shakes off the bad teammate narrative by way of playing well off Dennis and seeing PG’s numbers improve.

Dennis Schroder – Sixth Man

Asad Ali Jamal

Russell Westbrook will be in MVP conversations, especially if he averages a triple-double for a third straight season. If you don’t know that then you obviously haven’t been paying attention the last few seasons.

Dennis Schroder for sixth man: Because #whynot?

Alex Mcewen

Sixth Man: Dennis Schröder – There are two reasons why Schröder will not win Sixth Man. (A) he starts too many games or (B) he gets a bad attitude once Westbrook returns, shifting him back to a bench role for the first time since 2015-16. Outside of those reasons, the award is Schröder’s to lose.
