In their second game of the season, the OKC Thunder are on the road to face the LA Clippers. OKC are looking to garner their first victory of the 2018-19 NBA season.

After Tuesday night’s somewhat disappointing loss to the Golden State Warriors, the OKC Thunder are gearing up to play the Los Angeles Clippers and potentially snag their first win of the season. They clearly have the talent advantage going into this matchup, even without Russell Westbrook and possibly Steven Adams, but coming out with a win is going to be tricky.

The latter situation likely won’t be fully confirmed until after shoot around today. Although Adams still managed to post a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds plus four assists and two steals he was clearly laboring on the court.

The Clippers are one of the consistently hardest playing teams in the league. LA always find ways to stick around and pull out wins in games they had no business being in, in the first place. That’s going to be a difficult thing to reconcile for the OKC Thunder who always seem to find ways to lose  games they should have won because of their effort.

Overall, the Thunder have a pretty good chance of coming away with a win on Friday. After all, their ceiling on a game to game basis is significantly higher than that of the Clippers and LA is also relying on some pretty young guards to win.

The Thunder are likely going to enter the game hungry for their first victory as well, and that could be the deciding factor in this contest.
