OKC Thunder Grades: Mavericks end streak and trample in victory

Player Grades
While Schroder did not do anything special, he played decently well tonight. He made some pretty big plays and sank in some crucial shots. He was not very efficient and seemed to let the Mavericks get to him a bit throughout the game, but he pulled through it and gave us a decent game. It won’t get much better than this grade.
I love Terrance Ferguson. Let me repeat that, I love this player… but he did not come through offensively tonight. His defense was solid in the first half, but after halftime, the Mavericks came out swinging and knocked TFerg in the head by the looks of it as the little sophomore that could felt like he was lacking quite a bit on defense.
This was a PG13 night for the Thunder. Unfortunately, it’s not because Paul George went off, but rather because watching tonight’s game will likely give you nightmares of Luka Doncic. George was his typical self and tried to make the right plays consistently, but with his shot so inefficient this season and most of his teammates still asleep from the trip into Dallas, he was not great enough to pull the Thunder out of a deficit and push the win streak to 8. Why couldn’t he have been great enough tonight!?
Remember how I said that the grades won’t get much better than that ‘B’ I gave Schroder? Well, I lied. Although, I wasn’t completely off. Grant played well tonight, but unfortunately not that much better than Schroder’s ‘B’. Jerami Grant HAS impressed quit a bit lately with his efficient 3 point shooting and his jump in offensive production this season. All that offensive work he put in during the offseason is finally paying off, he looks great!
Steven Adams was on the ball tonight. He was clearly the Thunder’s best player in this match as he looked as dominant as usual both on defense and offense. There isn’t much I can say about Adams other than he looks like an All-Star candidate to me.
