The OKC Thunder dropped a game to the Mavericks, but we made up for it Monday. Defeating the Phoenix Suns, the OKC Thunder are now 8-5 on the season, something that seemed very, very far away after starting 0-4.
This is OKC Thunder in the news. Here, I’ll be showering you with the top 3 OKC Thunder story lines so that you can go to work and impress all your coworkers with your astonishing penchant for Thunder current events. They’ll love it.
So, what all is going on in the Thunder world?
Breaking Even
Like I mentioned just above, the Thunder took it to the Phoenix Suns, making up for the tough loss against the Mavericks last Saturday. The OKC Thunder had a great game, still with Russell Westbrook sitting on the bench.
OKC handles the Suns 118-101. George 32-8-6 on 11-19 (6-10 from 3), Schroder 20-5-9, Adams 18 and 7, Grant 10. The Suns cut a 28-point lead to 7 in the fourth, but OKC responded well with a burst to put it away.

The Thunder mega-lead started slipping away in the 3rd quarter, but the boys in blue held on to send the Suns home. Thunder wing Paul George hit six 3-pointers, the most of any Thunder player this season.

Roberson Update
Thunder wing Andre Roberson is making serious injury progress. OKC Thunder beat writer Erik Horne tweeted this yesterday:
Thunder trainers putting Andre Roberson through full-court conditioning. Non-contact. Roberson scheduled to be re-evaluated in early December. pic.twitter.com/HYudDlgiOy

Though Roberson’s recovery and recuperation have been a slow grind, it’s encouraging to see him on his feet, working towards being on the court. “Early December” seems like a long time from now, but it’s really only 3 weeks away. It’s still entirely possible the Thunder have Roberson for over half of this season.
This would be huge, as the Thunder defense is already giving opposing teams major troubles. Throwing Roberson into the mix could be truly stifling.
Happy Birthday, Russ
That’s right, it’s the Brodie’s birthday.
Russell Westbrook turned 30 yesterday, which is hard to believe. It would suck to spend your birthday on the sidelines, but not much gets Westbrook down.
ESPN tweeted a collection of Russ’ best moments to celebrate the occasion. Let’s all watch it together:
