The OKC Thunder won again! It’s starting to become a habit. The Topic: Thunder crew has a trifecta of happiness tonight to cover the latest victory.
The OKC Thunder have won 10 of their last 11 games, immediately after starting 0-4. Wow! What a turnaround. That’s also while missing Russell Westbrook, who is, let’s say, pretty good at basketball, for eight of their 15 games this season.
That’s very encouraging for Thunder fans. Last season, the season of Melo, it seemed like all it took for the Thunder to lose to a bad team was for the wind to blow the wrong way. No, actually, it seemed like all it took was for the wind to not help us out a little.
Losing to bad teams seemed almost routine. Like part of the plan. We were too easy-going, too Laissez-faire. In short – far too Melo. This season, none of those problems. Even with Alex Abrines out with an illness, even with Russell Westbrook and Terrance Ferguson out for personal reasons (let’s hope it’s for three Valentine’s Day babies), the Thunder handled their business against a bad team.

The Phoenix Suns are young, and hungry, and yes, bad. Steven Adams dominated Deandre Ayton, as he should. Paul George dominated the whole team, as he should. Dennis Schröder did great, as he should. Jerami Grant stepped up big-time, and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot also did good (in the second half, at least).
In short, the Thunder won another game they were supposed to win and did it fairly comfortably. What a change from last year – what a welcome change.
We have Stephen, Dylan, and Alex on this recap. Enjoy!
