A full slate of games this week means plenty of production is in store for the red hot OKC Thunder and its fantasy players.
By posting a 9-1 record in their last 10 games, the OKC Thunder have overcome their sluggish start nicely. The absence of Russell Westbrook has not been much of an issue with multiple players stepping up. For fantasy hoops, the more games a team can fit into a week the better, so it should be another strong week for Oklahoma City.
Sacramento Kings (Monday, 11/19)
Golden State Warriors (Wednesday, 11/21)
Charlotte Hornets (Friday, 11/23)
Denver Nuggets (Saturday, 11/24)
As always, I’ll give you some notable OKC Thunder opponents as well. Remember last week when I listed T.J. Warren? Well, he rattled off four 21-plus point games that week. Clearly, you should be blindly taking my advice with no hesitation whatsoever. So, let’s start with the OKC Thunder:
Paul George
Paul George is good at basketball. For this reason, he is also a valuable asset in fantasy basketball. It is known.
George is one of the hottest players in the association right now, scoring at least 32 points in his last three games. Even when Russ returns, PG-13 will remain an elite fantasy option thanks to his scoring and defensive stats.
Jerami Grant
In all but the deepest fantasy leagues, Jerami Grant has been right on the bubble for viability. With minutes, he is a solid source of blocks, but not necessarily much else. He has been moved into a starting role though, and his production is on the rise.
He now has ten straight games scoring in double figures and has been rebounding more aggressively of late.
Marvin Bagley III
More from Thunderous Intentions
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
There are hotter players for the Kings than Marvin Bagley III, but I believe the rookie is set to take off. Bagley got a season high 27 minutes last Saturday on the heels of a report by Yahoo! Sports that alleged Coach Dave Joerger’s handling of the second overall pick was not impressing ownership.
If Joerger values his job, that will mean more minutes for the power forward. His per-36-minute stats are nearly 19 points and nine boards.
Quinn Cook
As a starter, Quinn Cook has been effective this season. So, with Steph Curry out for a while, Cook is a player to keep in mind in daily fantasy leagues or even season-long leagues if you need short term guard production.
Kemba Walker
This pick is much more obvious than the above, but I don’t care.
has been playing out of his mind this season and is deserving of more recognition than he has been receiving. This was highlighted by his 60 point performance versus the 76ers Saturday, though it was foiled by
‘s late-game heroics.
Gary Harris
With a name like Gary Harris, it is hard to stand out. Fantasy veterans know what ol’ Gary can bring to the table however. Always a bit underrated, Harris is overcoming a brief sluggish streak and is back to looking like an early round fantasy producer. Harris is the most obvious benefactor following the injury to Will Barton.
