The two-spot might be clearing itself up
A big roster talking point for the last two years has focused on the fact the OKC Thunder are pretty shallow on the wings. This was made even more obvious when Andre Roberson got injured last season.
The Thunder tried to fill the void with guys like Terrance Ferguson, Alex Abrines, and Corey Brewer, but none of them were consistent enough to adequately fill that role.
Tonight, however, might be the first time the Thunder got a glimpse of what the future of this position could be.
Timothe Luwawu-Carrabot and Diallo both showed out tonight and put on the best performances they’ve had all year. Clearly, they’re probably not going to do that every night but they both delivered a lot of intensity on the defensive end. That in and of itself might be enough for the Thunder to let these two wing men take more of a role on the team and start filling that hole. and defining what the future will be.
