It became evident early OKC was wholly unprepared to deal with the way the Kings are playing, The fact the Thunder turned it on and started dominating by playing their own game is a really important sign.

In the style displayed (especially in the second half), the OKC Thunder showed why they’ve had early success. And, it’s a style this team can hone and utilize to make some noise in an open Western Conference.

The Thunder came back from halftime, played hard-nosed defense, got back to executing the way they want, and they played themselves right back into the game. That probably doesn’t happen last season.

OKC was on a winning streak coming into the game and they had started to look really good, but this game might have been the most telling one of the season to date for the Thunder.

They handled adversity, picked themselves back up, and gave a super solid Kings team a game. At least for now, the OKC Thunder seem headed for some special things.
