The OKC Thunder blow out the Warriors, and Hamidou Diallo isn’t severely injured! All is right with the world.
Hear ye, hear ye! Per Brett Dawson of the Athletic, the OKC Thunder’s Hamidou Diallo’s seemingly severe leg injury has been ruled, precisely, “not severe!”
This is truly exceptional news for the Thunder, who also lost Terrance Ferguson to an ankle sprain in this game, and also obviously are without the starter, Andre Roberson. Alex Abrines has been out for what seems like forever with a viral illness. If he can’t go on Friday, the Thunder could be down to their FIFTH string shooting guard.

Fifth string? There are only three strings on a basketball team. That doesn’t even make sense.
Oh ,wait! The Thunder won a game tonight! And not just any game, a game against the Golden State Warriors. And not just any win, a win by 28 points! This is a victory now unfettered by the sadness of a serious injury to an up-and-coming rookie. We can now be fully happy.
Even more than that, Russell Westbrook didn’t play well. Sure he had a triple-double, but we’re all so jaded to those wonderful feats by now. No, Russ scored just 11 points, and the Thunder still blew out the (crippled, physically and emotionally) Warriors in Oracle.
Paul George had 25 point, nine rebounds, and five assists. Steven Adams had 20 points and 11 boards. Jerami Grant added 14 points of his own to go along with 11 boards of his own.
And last but not least, Dennis Schröder chipped in 32 points, in what was by far his best game in an OKC jersey so far.
This was a game the Thunder would have had no chance at, even as recently as last year, given Russ’s struggles. And they blew the Warriors out. This team just might be for real.
Matty Mulls and I are on post game analysis . We went long. It was so much fun. Enjoy!
