Given that, it’s impossible to ignore the irony of this situation. On Wednesday night as KD succumbed to isolation and stalled his Dubs it was Westbrook playing off ball (something it was said he couldn’t or wouldn’t do), dropping dimes, and acquiescing to teammates who were shooting well. Russ took one more shot attempt than Adams and less than both Schroder and George. Oh, and he recorded a triple-double in the victory by a 28 point margin.

Clearly, whether the Warriors whisper it or shout it, they are operating while tiptoeing on eggshells. Like the Thunder before them, the Dubs are trying to appease Durant to ensure his return.

Hint to the wise Warriors Nation – KD has likely already made up his mind and it won’t matter what you say or do. If he’s committed to staying he will, if he’s not – then even three-peating, and him collecting his third consecutive finals MVP won’t ensure his return.

More than anything it appears there are expectations by Durant to be treated a certain way.
