LA Clippers:
Think back to the Detroit Pistons who won the championship and featured a team of fundamentally sound players who all defended and each brought offensive skills (save for Ben Wallace) to the floor.
This Clippers squad reminds me of them in that any one of their players could get hot at any given moment. Lou Williams is money in clutch time, Tobias Harris or a healthy Danilo Gallinari can each score with the best on any given night.
The rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander length causes opposing guards fits and like Ben Wallace the energy of Montrezl Harrell is arguably what fuels his entire team. The difference is Harrell can also score. Certainly the Clippers may regress to the mean, but for now, they’ve been among the most pleasant surprises of the early season.
