OKC Thunder: Terrance Ferguson participates in practice, Hamidou Diallo limited
Injury update on OKC Thunder wing men Terrance Ferguson and Hamidou Diallo offers optimistic news.
After a slew of injuries to OKC Thunder wings in the past two weeks, Terrance Ferguson took part in full contact while Hamidou Diallo experiences soreness in his recently sprained right ankle.
The OKC Thunder wing rotation received a serious workout over the past two weeks with Terrance Ferguson and Hamidou Diallo acquiring injuries in the 123-105 win over the Golden State Warriors.
TFerg acquired a right ankle sprain after coming down on Warriors guard Klay Thompson‘s foot while Diallo was poleaxed by Jonas Jerebko when corralling a defensive rebound, turning his left ankle in the process.
Ferguson and Diallo both took part in practice as per OKC Thunder writer for the Athletic Brett Dawson.
Ferguson received an initial 10-12 day time frame for his recovery with his injury coming while contesting a shot.
TFerg is on track to be back for the start of Oklahoma City’s three game East Coast road trip.
Concern for Hamidou Diallo
Rookie Diallo experienced some soreness in the same ankle he injured against the Warriors. Surprisingly Diallo was made available in Oklahoma City’s most recent win over the Atlanta Hawks after the injury appeared to be worse than a right ankle sprain.

If Sunday’s practice is anything to go by, the rookie may have been pushing a little too hard to get back on court and seems to have aggravated the injury.
Thunder medical staff are likely to put Diallo back on ice until he is fully recovered and seems likely to miss the entire East Coast trip.
Alex Abrines, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Ferguson and Deonte Burton will assume Diallo’s minutes with Oklahoma City’s wing rotation doing a fantastic job filling in when required.
The Thunder open their three-game road trip against Blake Griffin and the hot Detroit Pistons. The Pistons recently accounted for the Golden State Warriors and are riding a five game win streak.
