OKC Thunder deliver 110-83 rout in Detroit, 3 key takeaways from victory

Steven Adams remains massively underrated

Monday only served to show what we’ve known for a while now: Steven Adams is an absolute monster. He scored 21 points on a clean 7 of 8 shooting from the field and an even tidier 7 of 7 from the free throw line to go along with six rebounds and two blocks against Andre Drummond. Like most of his points, his 21 tonight largely came by way of Russell Westbrook but he thoroughly dominated Drummond for most of tonight.

He held Drummond to just 13 points on a measly 6 of 14 from the floor and had a few awesome plays on the former Husky, like this one below:

It’s not a huge accomplishment to stifle Drummond for a night–just ask Joel Embiid–but it’s still a decent reminder of just how good Adams actually is.
