The OKC Thunder are legit

It’s risky to say that any team is legitimately really good just because they had a blow-out win, but the Pistons were one of the hottest teams in the league coming into this match-up so winning by as big a margin as they did is fairly impressive. I’ve spent most of this season talking about the changes the OKC Thunder have to make in order to level up–and I’ll undoubtedly talk more about in the future–but it seems like they’ve started making some of those changes in the last couple of weeks.

Their defense, which started the season out pretty slow, has started coming together and was a major reason they were able to fleece the Pistons tonight. Jerami Grant’s production and minutes have been steadily rising lately, and his all-around contributions were a big aid tonight. This is a strong team and it’s probably only going to get stronger as the year progresses.
