The OKC supporting cast might be for real

The problem with the Thunder, dating back to their Seattle days, has always been that they’ve never been able to put adequate help around their best three players but this might be the first year that might change. They finally have some quality young guys in Grant, Nerlens Noel, Deonte Burton, and Dennis Schroder; all of whom stepped up and contributed tonight.

Not to mention some quality vets like Patrick Patterson and Raymond Felton who can still put up some nice stats from time to time. Every time they’ve won this season, particularly tonight against Detroit, it’s been because their supporting cast shows up and gives their top three, Russell Westbrook and Paul George, the help they need to win. If they’re going to keep winning the way their talent says they should, they need that to happen a lot more.

And if tonight’s dominance is any indication; it will.
