Breaking news… Paul Clifton Anthony George is extremely good at basketball! As OKC Thunder visit Brooklyn and on the back of PG13’s 47 points take down the Nets at the horn.

He is so good at basketball that the OKC Thunder can overcome a 23 point deficit with four minutes to go in the third quarter to win a game on the road.

His stat line?  An incredible 47 points (on 15 of 27 shooting), 15 rebounds, and 4 assists. Paul George scored 25 of those points in the fourth quarter.  He also hit his first game winner with OKC as he saw his 26 foot three pointer rattle home with 3.1 seconds remaining.  Some solid defense on the other end after a timeout by the Nets and that’s all she wrote.

Also of note tonight, some additional Thunder history happened.  Russell Westbrook notched his 108th career triple-double passing Jason Kidd.  Westbrook had 21 points, 17 assists, and 15 rebounds.

This win also moved OKC to 89-19 in such games that Westbrook crosses that threshold.  He’s such a stat padder!

Oklahoma City needed all of that production from their two stars because as a team, Brooklyn was solid tonight.  The bench for the Nets outscored OKC 37-18.  Brooklyn had six players score in double digits (to OKCs four) and they shot 42 percent from three on 36 attempts (while the Thunder shot 34 percent on 38 perimeter attempts).

None of that mattered because the team in New York doesn’t employ Paul George.
