PG13 remains hot
Paul George is in another stratosphere right now. PG13 posted 31 points, three rebounds, three assists and four steals in 30 minutes of action.
The most impressive part was that he did it on just 10 shot attempts.
PG13 started the game strong, hitting 4-5 from the field in the first half but it was his defense that got him going. The 28 year-old continued his strong candidacy for defensive player of the year by nabbing three steals in the first quarter.
PG plays the passing lane and intercepts a pass from Donovan Mitchell to Joe Ingles. The All Star took it strong to the cup for the easy lay-in.
Later in the same quarter PG makes a similar play only this time intercepting a pass from Jae Crowder to Ingles. George was unlucky not to receive an and-1 on the play.
But the third quarter was where George put Utah to bed.
PG scored 16 points, going 4-5 from 3-point land and 5-6 from the line while torching anyone who was in front of him. On Oklahoma City’s first possession out of half time, George received a pass from Russ and he shot it right over top of Ingles.
Then it was Ricky Rubio‘s turn.
Did someone say Royce O’Neal? No problem.
Back for more Ingles? No worries mate.
PG13 is on another level right now and he’s leaving defenses in his wake. If he keeps posting performances like this, George will surely be on the cusp of superstar status.
