On a night where his partner in crime Russell Westbrook struggled shooting the rock (4-18 from the field, 0-5 from three, 4-8 free throws), Oklahoma City needed every bit of his exceptional performance.
Thats not to say Paul George didn’t have help. Steven Adams had 22 points, seven rebounds and kept Rudy Gobert largely under control while Dennis Schröder worked over anyone who was guarding him on his way to 23 points, four rebounds and and six assists.
Jerami Grant continued his great season pitching in 13 points while Nerlens Noel, Hamidou Diallo and Terrance Ferguson combined for 21 points in limited minutes. TFerg was especially impressive defensive, holding star Donovan Mitchell to three points in the opening quarter.
OKC are now in sole possession of FIRST place in the Western Conference.
