OKC Thunder Week that was – Top 10 plays from Eastern Conference trip
6. Russ… why so mad?
The Brodie was all over the place last week but one thing is for sure, Russ will attack the rim at every opportunity. In the play below, Adams finds a cutting Westbrook who goes to the rack with authority.
Westbrook played was solid against Detroit, pivotal against Brooklyn and turned into a turnover machine against Chicago (10 turnovers). With Russ you take the good with the bad but the dunk above was absolute rim rocker.
5. Nerlens on the bounce
Nerlens Noel is quietly putting together a solid season as the Thunder’s back-up and is set for a massive payday at seasons end. The former first round pick is showing off his full range of skills including driving on opposing big men to the rack.
In the play below, Patrick Patterson sets a screen for Noel and the big man takes Detroit’s John Leuer to the hoop for the one-handed hammer.
With Adams playing so well, Noel’s chance for increased playing time are low unless the big Kiwi experiences injury. Noel is a big piece of the puzzle nonetheless and is putting together a fantastic season.
