Light on wing depth and 3-point shooting, Memphis Grizzlies and Israeli international Omri Casspi is an intriguing prospect for the OKC Thunder.

With seven wings on its roster, it may come as a surprise to see the OKC Thunder add another wing to its rotation. However, the issue with Oklahoma City’s construction is they only have Paul George who can reliably shoot from the perimeter.

Omri Casspi certainly has no issues firing from deep.

The 30 year-old served as a stretch forward for Golden State last season prior to being waived. He played in 53 games with the Warriors and joined an illustrious group of NBA players to receive a championship ring,

Fast forward to 2018-19 season and the Israeli has been a solid addition to Memphis. Through 23 games, Casspi has put up the following numbers:

2018-19 stats

Points: 5.2
Assists: 0.2
Rebounds: 3.1
Steals: 0.4
Field-goal percentage: 54.2
3-Point percentage: 37.5
Net Rating: plus-10.4

The Israeli has been a tremendous positive for Memphis when he’s not battling injury. Widely known as a perimeter- oriented offensive player, Casspi surprised many with his version of the Shammgod on Phoneix guard Josh Jackson:

It appears Russell Westbrook isn’t the only one hitting teams with the ShammGod.

With Memphis light on perimeter shooting, Casspi might be difficult to pry away from the grit and grind. However should the Grizzlies make him available for the right price, the Thunder should definitely inquire.

Lets take a deeper into his skills.
