77. . 16-9 . Previous: 11th. Los Angeles Clippers. 11. team

The expression regressing to the mean may well apply to these LA Clippers. That said, they sit in a glorious position for the coming offseason. There isn’t one bad contract on their books unless you think Gallinari is overpaid.  Every member of the squad plays with a chip on their shoulder having been acquired mostly because other teams let them go.

Montrezl Harrell has easily stepped in as the replacement for DeAndre Jordan despite his verticle shortcomings. And, he’s added more offensively. Although recently teams seem to have figured out how to offset his aggression by simply playing to his weakness (height).

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (my favorite true point guard in the past summer’s draft) is going to be special. Plus Tobias Harris is the real deal.

LA Clippers:

Offensive Rating: 6th
Defensive Rating: 14th
Net Differential: 9th

Points per game: 115.6 (4th)
Offensive field goal efficiency: 46.8 percent (8th)
Opponent points per game: 112.6 (22nd)
Opponent field goal efficiency: 44.1 percent (tied 3rd)

Record: fourth in WC
Home:  9-2
Road:  7-7
Back to back sets: 4

Versus the West: 11-6
Versus the East: 5-3
Week eight 2-1: Beat @ Pelicans, lost to  @ Grizzlies, Heat
On tap for week 9: @Suns, Raptors, @Spurs, @Thunder
