Week 9 of power rankings pundits keep the OKC Thunder in the NBA’s top tier. Discover where each site ranked them and my personal ratings for all 30 teams.
Overall pundits are recognizing the OKC Thunder as a top challenger to the Golden State Warriors who’ve got Stephen Curry and Draymond Green back healthy. Denver looms as the other key challenger and continues to win in spite of copious injuries.
The Raptors remain atop the Association with the best record despite being mired with their own injuries.
Meanwhile, the OKC Thunder boast the league’s best defense with Russell Westbrook more active than he’s been on that end in years. Guess that’s what happens when he knows he has a partner he can trust to score relieving the burden to do it all since Kevin Durant‘s departure.
In week nine the OKC Thunder split their four games defeating the Utah Jazz and this year’s version of the Cinderella squad the LA Clippers. Both wins were impressive given those two teams could easily find themselves headed to the postseason.
OKC suffered their second loss to a sub .500 team this week falling to New Orleans. Although, it’s hard to consider the Pelicans a sub anything with perennial MVP and DPoY candidate Anthony Davis leading them. The other loss came versus the Nuggets who’ve been impressive winning despite missing several key cogs.
With that here’s my personal power ranking for week nine followed by where the national scribes ranked the OKC Thunder.
