Donovan Mitchell is navigating the difficulty (like Jayson Tatum) of being a rookie standout and teams game planning for him specifically as a sophomore. This is contributing to the Jazz offensive woes. The thought was bringing in another sniper (Kyle Korver) would space the court and allow for more freedom of movement.
Coincidentally the Jazz offense was on fire in preseason and their defense was suffering to start the season.
With a third of the season complete now the Jazz defense is rounding into form but the offense is still at least a playmaker and sniper away from being a problem.
