Even after this month, it still feels like Paul George is a bit of a dark horse to win MVP. This year’s award race has provided more parity and debate than recent seasons, with players like Anthony Davis, James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and LeBron James all in the running.

As mentioned before, if we’re going by numbers alone, James Harden would win it for the second time in a row. But since the Rockets already struggling and Chris Paul now out, he’s probably not a serious candidate at least as of now.

Many professional analysts predicted Anthony Davis to win his first MVP, but with the Pelicans among the worst teams in the conference at the moment and rumors swirling of him leaving to play with LeBron James, his stock has gone down.

Antetokounmpo and Leonard are probably the biggest threats to George’s chance’s, but again, there’s still a lot of time.
