There’s not a ton to say about this game because the result was fairly predictable; they beat up on a sorry Suns team behind Russell Westbrook. The thing that was really surprising about this game though, was how the role players stepped up in the absence of PG13.

Schroder was sensational chipping in 20 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals on 8-18 shooting after starting 1-9 from the field while Nerlens Noel was absolutely spectacular in just 13 minutes of action. Noel didn’t score a point but registered three rebounds, two assists, four steals and a block including this monster rejection on Phoenix wing Kelly Oubre.

If Russ can get his shot back and George can keep playing the way he has, the Thunder could be real contenders to get to the Finals especially with the Western Conference being the bloodbath that it is.

It might just be an overreaction to a blowout, but with the way everyone stepped up tonight, it’s hard not to believe in Oklahoma City’s potential.
