It looked like the bench and Paul George had stolen one for the OKC Thunder despite an abysmal shooting night from Russell Westbrook, but it all fell apart in the end.

Well, this one’s on Russell Westbrook. The OKC Thunder superstar just couldn’t hit a shot tonight. That happens, but it still puts the blame on Russ’s shoulders. That fact is not lost on him.

Here it is straight from the goat’s mouth:

Yeah, this guy gets it.

Still, remarkably, the Thunder still had a very good shot to win this game. Paul George was spectacular, as per usual. The bench, even though short-handed, was able to put together a great run in the fourth quarter to give the Thunder a shot.

Paul George had a very good look for the win that just didn’t fall. Russ even got another (bad) look at the win at the buzzer that he was forced into taking. But unfortunately, it just wasn’t the Thunder’s night.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but with the Thunder hosting Dallas in OKC on a strange back-to-back home-and-home on New Year’s Eve, we’ll take our revenge piping hot this time, if you please.

We’ve got a trio for you tonight on this Topic: Thunder recap! Stephen, Alex, and Anthony are here to discuss what happened, what went right, what went wrong, and those sweet new sunset uniforms the Thunder rocked tonight for the first time.

As usual, we Hook Up the TiVo, award the Player of the Game, and tonight, our Favorite Unit was incredibly easy. Enjoy!
