OKC Thunder fall to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks 105-103 in wild finish
By Rylan Stiles
OKC Thunder Best Reserve:
Dennis Schroder, the German-born point guard got to face off with Dirk Nowitzki tonight and Schroder showed out. Dennis logged over 30 minutes and poured in 19 points tonight. Schroder was the second best player on the roster tonight, playing his role on both ends of the floor extremely well.
Best Opponent:
Luka Doncic is simply unreal. The 19-year-old rookie made unbelievable plays tonight and made PG13 look silly on a few different occasions. One of the best clutch time players in the NBA this year statistically, and he showed up big in the tightly contested fourth quarter.
Doncic’s high-risk high reward step-back ends in a big-time nailed three more often than a forgettable airball (though the airballs are a little too common) tonight was no different.
Doncic ended with 25-points, 3-rebounds, 7-assists while shooting 47-percent from the field and 36-percent from deep.

The Oklahoma City Thunder just did not have the arms to keep up with the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas, saw five guys get into double figures, and all put one player on the active roster over five points. The OKC Thunder got four in double figures but only two additional players over five points tonight.
The Mavericks are just deeper than the Thunder, especially with OKC missing two key rotational players.
Dallas’ impact players all showed up tonight (Luka, DSJ, DJ, HB) and for OKC, only Paul George and Dennis Schroder came to play.
These two teams will get set to do it all again tomorrow night in Oklahoma City. Hopefully, for the Thunder, their Superstar can do better than 4-for-22.
