2018 was quite a year for the OKC Thunder. And with a new year upon us, it’s time to think about what we hope to accomplish in the next 365 days.

Like the previous nine years, 2018 was quite a year for the OKC Thunder. Long-time fans remember many exciting seasons which came to bitter ends, but things have been different lately, as Sam Presti and Russell Westbrook worked to keep the team relevant after the departure of Kevin Durant.

At the conclusion of the 2017-18 season, the OKC Thunder headed into the off season with more questions than answers. Things were looking bleak, as Presti was on the hook for Carmelo Anthony and his price tag, while Paul George was almost certainly heading to Los Angeles.

In a change of events, however, Presti killed two birds with one stone by trading Anthony for Dennis Schroder and managed to sign George to a long-term deal. Meanwhile, Presti was able to add Nerlens Noel and found a diamond in the rough in Hamidou Diallo. All things considered, it was about as good of an off season as Thunder fans could have hoped for.

Today, Oklahoma City is jockeying for position atop the Western Conference with George leading the way and Westbrook getting back to his old self. And with some momentum heading into the new calendar year, the Thunder are well on their way to achieving some lofty goals. Although winning a championship is always the ultimate goal, here are some New Year’s resolutions to complete along the way.
