The OKC Thunder got their vengeance against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, 122-112, and yes, their vengeance was sweet.

The San Antonio Spurs beat the OKC Thunder just two nights before this game. Sure, it required two overtimes, and 84.2 percent from three from the Spurs and Steven Adams missing 10 of the game’s last 15 minutes. Sure, it was one of the few games this season the Thunder would need a center, and they didn’t even have a backup.

Right, sure to all of that, but the Thunder still lost. Luckily, they got an immediate chance for revenge. The NBA has done a little more of that this year, the home-and-home series, with the Thunder having three by themselves this year, and it really makes for a nice atmosphere.

This felt like a Playoff game. Each team knew the other, each was mad at the other, and people were banged up. It was a lot of fun – especially because we won.

Dennis Schröder was really the story of the game, scoring all of his 19 points in the second half. Abdel Nader was also great, which has actually become kind of normal. Terrance Ferguson was great too, not to mention Patrick Patterson, and these guys provided the lift the Thunder needed to hold them over until Russ showed up late.

And boy did he ever, attacking the rim relentlessly, but the bench gets most of the credit for the win. Good job, bench.

All in all, a great win by the Thunder. A tremendous second half, showcasing depth and defense. Revenge is a dish best served, like, immediately.
