Player Grades

What a strange game today from Russell Westbrook. Statistically, he played just okay with a stat line of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. But just the style in which Russ has played the last few games has been off. He isn’t hitting his shots, as we all know, and that seems to be frustrating him tremendously. Still a lot of season to go, hopefully Westbrook can improve his level of play for the OKC Thunder.

Man, another great game from the red hot Terrance Ferguson. The young man scored 11 points (including a massive 3-pointer in the 4th quarter) and chased JJ Redick around all afternoon, which is no easy task. His emergence has been greatly needed for this team still dealing with Andre Roberson‘s injury.

Let’s hope the sky is the limit for this young and promising players.

I am starting to run out of superlatives to describe Paul George’s masterful season. He is an absolute fiend on the defensive end, to the point where he makes such a rugged thing look so easy and beautiful. His offensive game has been lights out, as was the case yet again today as he scored a team-high 31 points while hitting the game-winning shot.

It is an absolute joy to watch George play basketball.

Solid effort today from Jerami Grant. He did have a little bit of trouble with fouls, but pitched in a nice 10 points and 9 boards for his OKC Thunder teammates. If he can improve his shot from the corner three, he will become a lethal weapon in this Thunder offense.

Steven Adams played a good game tonight despite having a strange -14 for the night in terms of plus/minus. The Big Kiwi scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds as he clashed with the always tough Joel Embiid all day long.

Not his best game, but it’s clear that Adams deserves to get an All-Star nod for his play this year. Go out an vote while you still can, Thunder fans!
