It was the best of times (16-point lead in first quarter), it was the worst of times (Schröder turnover late to give Philly the lead).  In the end, the OKC Thunder got the win on the road due to some late heroics by our All-Star.

Paul Clifton Anthony George was not to be denied.  n his infamous Gatorade commercial he stated, “No OT tonight.”  That would hold true in this one (and good thing since OKC just dropped one to the Lakers in that frame just a few nights ago).

An inbounds pass from Terrance Ferguson to George on a down screen, immediate elevation behind the arc, a made 3-pointer, and a foul on Jimmy Butler would swing a two-point lead for Philadelphia to a two-point advantage for OKC with five seconds remaining.

OKC would hold on after forcing a miss by the aforementioned Butler to give the Thunder their 28th win on the season (and 19 straight against Philadelphia).

Paul George was outstanding in this one (31 points on eight of 20 shooting, four of nine from three, six rebounds, five assists, three steals) but he got some help.

Russell Westbrook (21 points, 10 rebounds, six assists) fouled out following his infraction against Joel Embiid (31 points, eight rebounds, 6 assists) after the Sixers center drove Russ into the ground.  When asked after the game if they are “cool”… you can just say Russ answered that one “No.”  There might’ve been a word right before that “no” however.

Scuba Steven Adams had 16 points and nine boards (also took two shots to his umm, “kiwi”) but was also a key defender in tonight’s win. Dennis “The Menace” “Shredder” Schröder notched 21 points on eight of 18 shooting (three of five from three).

As for the Sixers, Kendall Jenner was in the house watching Ben Simmons do work.  The Australian had 20 points,15 rebounds, and nine assists.
