OKC Thunder: Victor Oladipo injury showcases how quickly tides can change
Pritchard forced to make offseason decisions immediately:
The question for Indiana is what they do moving forward, not just this season but long term. Although it’s conceivable the Pacers (who sit third) will remain among the East’s top five seeds. But without a trade how realistic is their shot at pushing any of the Bucks, Raptors, 76ers or Celtics in the postseason?
President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard has big decisions to make quickly. Do Indy stick with the crew who compiled a 7-4 record without Victor earlier this season and hope for similar success? Should Pritchard try to pry Mike Conley from the Grizzlies with visions of a ready made star fit and not miss a beat (and at what cost)?
Or should Pritchard take a longer term approach and sell off some of his expiring contracts to fill the coffers with picks or younger players who’ll fit the timetable of Oladipo’s return and when he’ll be back to 100 percent?
