Player Grades

RUSSELL WESTBROOK. D+. . PG. Oklahoma City Thunder

Russell Westbrook was just awful in the first half of this game in terms of scoring. He was able to post six first half assists, 7 rebounds, and a steal.

In the second half, Russell Westbrook was able to seal a triple double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. Westbrook also got a steal and a block defensively tonight.

Just another, bad or off game offensively from Westbrook and while no one wants to doubt Westbrook, maybe this is just who he is now? Or at least for the rest of this season.

B+. . SG. Oklahoma City Thunder. TERRANCE FERGUSON

Terrance Ferguson was so impressive this game and has been all month for the OKC Thunder. Ferguson looked comfortable, confident, and in control of the situation instead of letting the situation control him.

Ferguson finished the game with 15 points including three 3-pointers on just five attempts.

A+. . SF. Oklahoma City Thunder. PAUL GEORGE

Paul George was incredible in the first half of this game. The MVP candidate scored 21 first half points with five threes in that half alone. Tack on eight rebounds, a steal, and a drawn charge and you have what has become a standard outing from George in that half.

The second half was much of the same. Including a pair of MVP caliber moments that voters need to keep in mind at the end of the year, with his huge dunk over the Greek Freak and dagger three against the best team in the East.

The All-Star Starter finished with a team high 36 points, 13 rebounds, and a trio of assists. He also got three steals. The one flaw in his game tonight was his five turnovers. George finished as a plus 16 in the plus/minus category.

B. . PF. Oklahoma City Thunder. JERAMI GRANT

Jerami Grant was jawdropping defensively handling the Giannis assignment very well, while offensively banging home a three tonight on his way to scoring 16 points. Grant also got a pair of rebounds and four assists.

Jerami Grant swatted an outstanding five shots tonight and only got hit with three personal fouls despite battling with Giannis all game.

Grant was just awesome tonight, including a ton that did not show up in the box score.

B. . C. Oklahoma City Thunder. STEVEN ADAMS

Steven Adams left the game with an ankle injury in the first quarter but returned just before halftime. Adams came back in the second half with a coast to coast euro-step basket off a steal. I would say that ankle is okay.

Adams poured in 14 points with eight rebounds and tacked on a block and a steal defensively. A very solid game from Adams.

As mentioned he got beat up in this game, as he does in most games, so the day off tomorrow might prove to be huge for him.
