OKC Thunder trade primer: Hornets seek to build the hive around Kemba Walker
Marvin Williams:
Salary:
2018-19 – $14,087,500
2019-20 – $15,006,250 – player option
Williams land in the trio of players (Biyombo, Kidd Gilchrist) who have player options and are likely to re-up this offseason.
Of the three Williams offers value on both sides of the court. He can be a streaky 3-point shooter connecting multiple times per game. To wit, on 20 occasions this season Williams has hit three or more 3-point shots.
That alone makes him a desirable trade candidate, but he does a little bit of everything well as his 2018-19 stat line demonstrates: 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.8 blocks and 38.1 percent from deep on 2.0 made treys per game.
