Next up in the OKC Thunder trade deadline series T.I. looks at the Orlando Magic still searching to find the perfect roster chemistry and mix of assets.

Like many contending teams the OKC Thunder will be looking to shore up their roster as they head into the stretch. While the Thunder sits among the favorites the Orlando Magic are fighting and struggling to get into the playoffs.

Over the past six seasons, the Magic have been lottery bound at season end and are hopeful to get their young assets some playoff experience this year. As of this article publishing the Magic sit four games back of the final playoff seed in the East with a 22-32 record.

At times the Magic look like they are close to figuring things out. Case in point, in both games the Thunder played the Magic this season there were moments it looked like they could pull off the win. And therein lies the rub — this Magic squad hasn’t learned how to play consistently nor for the most part how to close out games.

Moreover, the pieces they currently have don’t necessarily fit together and the elephant in the room is Orlando is in desperate need of a starting caliber point guard.

Will the deadline find Jeff Weltman and John Hammond will likely be eager to nab their point guard but may have to wait til the offseason.

With that let’s take a look at the Magic and a couple of assets the Thunder may be interested in.
