Extremely active NBA trade deadline passes with no moves by the OKC Thunder. TI updates how each roster is reformulated at day’s end.
Well, that was lit! Hat tip to Austin Sternlictht who correctly predicted the OKC Thunder would (and should) stand pat at the trade deadline. In review of deadline day the big moves were made in the East as three of the top five teams (Raptors, Bucks, 76ers) seemingly took turns trying to impress each other with big trades.
Although the trade deadline is now closed there remains another huge window of opportunity via the buy out market. If it’s remotely close to what we’ve witnessed this last week it’s very likely to be just as active. We’ll catch our breaths here at Thunderous Intentions after our big trade series and dive back in to look at potential buyout candidates (and ones which have been confirmed) with a view to whether the OKC Thunder should target specific players or where they would more logically land.
in the interim, let’s review each team and the moves which were made. We’ll include all February trades since 11 deals occurred leading up to the deadline as well as the trade which seemed to open the floodgates when the Knicks traded a unicorn to Dallas.
Teams who made no moves:
- Charlotte Hornets
- Denver Nuggets
- Golden State Warriors
- Minnesota Timberwolves
- San Antonio Spurs
- Utah Jazz
