Squeaking by Jazz:

In the Thunder’s first game back in Utah since the playoffs last year, OKC escaped with a 107-106 win in late December to take the first two games of the season against the Jazz. The game came down to the wire, as Utah had a chance to tie or take the lead, trailing by two in the final seconds. But as Donovan Mitchell drove the lane for a potential game-tying dunk, Russell Westbrook came out of nowhere to save the game with a clutch block.

Westbrook might’ve stolen the show with the play of the game, but George led the way with 31 points on 80 percent shooting. He also went 5-for-6 from deep with 14 rebounds, six assists, and five steals.

The win was the second time OKC beat Utah that month, getting some revenge for what happened in the playoffs. Getting that vengeance is sweet, but it would be that much better if they sweep the season series. Game three is set to tip on Feb. 22.
