OKC Thunder rock the Blazers, as Topic: Thunder sends four to the game
The OKC Thunder did things tonight that has never been done. Never. Ever. It’s amazing. But oh yeah, they also won an important game against a division rival. What a game.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Ok. I’ll put all my effort from here on out into not just typing “wow” a hundred more times. But to be honest, that’s just what the OKC Thunder have me feeling right now. And that must be what the four people our podcast sent to this game are feeling. (Listen for confirmation)
Russell Westbrook had a triple-double. You could laugh out loud at the routine of that, and honestly, you should. You know how most records are stated as “since Wilt?” Well, not this one. Russell Westbrook just set the all-time record for consecutive triple-doubles. ALL. TIME. More than Magic, more than Oscar, more than Wilt.

No one. Ever. EVER. Ever in the history of the sport of basketball, has done what Russell Westbrook just did.
We take him for granted – at least I know I do. It seems so casual. It is not. Russell Westbrook is an unprecedented meteor with flames of history in his wake, and we shall never see his like again.
And oh yeah, Paul George. Paul George has a 47 point triple-double of his own. And laugh out loud it’s an after-thought. He was amazing, and undeniably the best player on the court. If Russell Westbrook didn’t exist, the beginning of this would have been about PG.
But the most amazing thing about tonight was not what they did, it was that they each helped each other do what they did. They were so happy for each other.
Oh. Also, the Thunder won.
