Kevin Love is back but the Cavaliers are still losing. Entering the trade deadline many thought the Cavaliers might be actively looking to parachute some contracts in exchange for picks.

In the end players they sent out might not have been the ones they wanted to purge. Alec Burks went to the Kings, Rodney Hood to Blazers, plus they flipped Nik Stauskas, and Wade Baldwin in what became a game of hot potato for those two players.

The biggest gain is the Rockets 2019 first round pick protected 1-14.
