OKC Thunder: TI editor power rankings week 17 – At last, the break
After years of busting Vlade Divac‘s chops for inane moves, I’ve got to concede he’s barely made a wrong move this season. Although I could question his choice of yet another big man in the draft (Marvin Bagley) over kid Luka, Bagley has been showing real growth.
Diving in at the deadline to add Harrison Barnes was a smart choice as the Kings attempt to get their youngsters some postseason experience. While the Lakers finishing eighth and getting swept would be considered a disaster, the precise opposite is true for this young Kings squad who could use that oust as motivation.
Even with the move to grab Barnes the Kings still sit 29th in overall salary rankings this season and have flexibility with a 22nd rank next season based on their current commitments.
