OKC Thunder: TI editor power rankings week 17 – At last, the break
Remarkably the Wolves made zero moves at the deadline. Trying to assess what this means is baffling. Standing pat should indicate the Wolves are happy with their roster. But, if Minnesota wants to return to the postseason surely they could see there are gaps to fill.
Conversely, sitting in the 12th seed as of week 17 (11th entering the break) it seems more likely they’ll be headed for the lottery. So, why wouldn’t they try to capitalize on sending out one of their many expiring contracts to garner draft picks or lower their bottom line?
If the Wolves finish outside the playoffs (it says here they will) this decision could come back to haunt them.
