Looking at the stats of Tuesday night’s game may lead you to believe that Dennis Schroder didn’t play a key role in bringing the Thunder back from their double-digit deficit against the Nuggets, but you would be emphatically incorrect. After embracing the role of back up point guard behind Westbrook, Schroder has proven why he will be a key aspect to this team developing into title contenders.

Recording 11 points 7 assists  5 rebounds and a momentum-shifting late-game three-pointer, Schroder may not have captivated fans out of their seats, but keen-eyed basketball enthusiasts were able to readily identify the impact he had on the game.

Without a doubt, Schroder will have to continue out hustling the opposing teams’ guards in order to make a deep run in the playoffs. Eventually, everyone else will begin to catch on to his magnitude on the court. If the rest of the league is unable to recognize his influence, I’m sure OKC Thunder fans will.
