Game preview: OKC Thunder look to get back in win column vs. Embiid-less 76ers

Finding inspiration without Embiid on the floor:

Westbrook seemingly enjoys using certain rivalries to stoke his internal competitiveness. This is a bit of misnomer since Russ plays every game and every possession like it’s his last. But, having a player on the other side who annoys him sure does help his focus.

Still, just like Westbrook gets into it with Embiid he’ll have no problem channeling that angst versus Ben Simmons or someone else on the 76ers.

On top of that, OKC just can’t afford to keep losing since there are teams like the Jazz and Rockets breathing down their neck to take over a home court seed position.

Westbrook may have to take a beat to figure out who else to aim his vitriol at given the numerous roster changes.
