Arron Afflalo

A veteran of 11 years experience, 33-year-old Arron Afflalo was viewed by many as a premier two-way wing capable of scoring in bunches while being able to defend the opposing teams best players. Over the course of his career, Afflalo averages 10.8 points, 2.9 rebound, and 1.8 assists on 45 percent shooting, 38.6 percent from three and 82.5 percent from the line.

His last season in Orlando was known more for his punch on Nemanja Bjelica rather his play on the court as the veteran was out of the Magic’s rotation. In case you’ve forgotten, Afflalo was suspended for this incident:

In order to get a feel of where Afflalo was at, we have to take a trip back to the 2016-17 season when he was playing for the Sacramento Kings. The veteran showcased all his offensive skills in an 18 point performance against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Afflalo’s affinity to post up smaller guards is a little worrisome given Russell Westbrook like to do the same but he’s capable of knocking down open shots when the opportunities arise. Additionally, Afflalo can guard two’s and some three’s, showing tenacious on-ball defense in the right system.

His 38.6 percent career 3-point percentage is hard to bypass which makes him an intriguing fit for OKC if he is somewhere near game shape.
