Nick “Swaggy P” Young

This one is a little harder to swallow because Nick Young’s attitude doesn’t appear to fit with what Oklahoma City is all about. Young is an overconfident guard who’s game is solely predicated on making shots. He is a microwave scorer and when the 33-year-old is cooking, he can light up the best defenses with impressive shot making.  Young averages 11.4 points on 41.8 percent shooting from the field, 37.6 percent from three and 83.6 percent from the line over his career.

Young signed temporarily with the Denver Nuggets this season but was quickly waived for reasons unknown. Therefore we must go back to his time in the Bay Area to check out his most recent performances.

Swaggy P’s best performance with the Warriors came on opening night against the Houston Rockets. Young 23 points on 8-9 shooting in the win.

What sets Young apart is his unconscious nature to shoot the ball. Oklahoma City lacks a confident shooter from deep outside of Paul George thus his willingness to let it fly is perfect for a team devoid of outside shooting.

While his fit with OKC is questionable from a personality standpoint, Young is a bona fide shooter and can win his team a game when he catches fire.
