While many of the young teams are experiencing quality wins the Knicks are an experience in futility dropping all four games this week. After an 18 game losing streak, the Knicks managed to win three out of four games, but are once again mired in a losing streak of five games as week 22 began.
Meanwhile, owner James Dolan is giving a whole new spin on ‘fan relations’. Dolan was caught on film in an exchange with a Knicks fan who told him to sell the team. After clarifying what the fan said the Knicks owner told the fan to enjoy watching the games on TV from now on, then summoned security to ensure the fan was escorted to an area of MSG to formalize the lifetime ban.
This week was already mired in fan – player issues, but this is yet another example of why Dolan shouldn’t be an NBA owner.
As much as I feel for long-serving and dedicated Knicks fans I worry Dolan is too hands on to ever allow the Knicks to be a serious contender as long as he owns the team in the Mecca.
