Ranking Schedule strength of teams seeded 3-8 in the West

Of all the teams the Thunder will be competing with for Playoff seeding, the Thunder have the hardest remaining schedule per Tankathon. As much as it hurts me, I’ll have to exclude the Nuggets and Warriors, who have separated themselves from the pack enough that the Thunder can’t catch them at this point. Frankly, I had a long debate with myself over whether to discuss the Rockets and Blazers, too. Ouch.

Ya, that’s rough. We’ll focus mostly on the Thunder, Clippers, Jazz, and Spurs, as currently three of those have the same record, with the Spurs one game back. The Blazers and Rockets are 2.5 and three games up, respectively, on the tied trio.

That looks bad for the Thunder, but as we all know, strange things happen at the end of the season. So is the gap really so large? Is the Thunder’s schedule really so ridiculous harder than everyone else? Is there hope?

Let’s find out.
