The OKC Thunder had a tough week or so but one of OKC’s strengths is the ability to play above the rim. TI presents the top five dunks of the week.

While it’s been a tough stretch for the OKC Thunder, one thing this team can do is play above the rim.  The slam dunk has always amazed fans of all ages, taking off into the air and punctuating it with a rim-rocking flush sends adrenaline rushing through fans veins.

The OKC Thunder are renowned for having some of the best sky-walkers compiled on one team. Individuals like Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and current dunk champion Hamidou Diallo are just a few of some of the best and brightest when it comes to aerial mastery.

The love of dunks is a commonality that links us basketball fanatics by the hip. So in honor of the fantastic week of dunks we’ve seen, I have compiled a list of the top 5 dunks of the week. These throwdowns were memorable because they all were unique in their own way.

Watching these dunks as they happen, can be mesmerizing and motivating. The dunks were compiled here and ranged from spectacular to extraordinary. With many lists, some dunks are bound to be left out.

However, feel free to leave a comment on any dunks you think deserved to make the list!

These are my top 5 dunks of the week.

Number 5 Paul George lifts off against the Heat.

At number 5 we have Paul George blurring past the defense to secure a slam amongst the Miami Heat defense. George has without question been an MVP candidate, and here he demonstrates again why you can’t take your eyes off of him whenever he has the ball in his hands.

Number 4 Paul George grabs an offensive rebound and immediately throws it down.

Guess who’s back! As I might have mentioned before. If you take your eyes off George for a moment you’ll certainly regret it. Paul George is a tremendous rebounder, and his leaping ability makes invariably makes him dangerous around the rim.

Number 3 Paul George splits the double team and finishes with a one-handed tomahawk.

I’m starting to notice a trend here. Paul George has definitely had an interesting week of throwdowns. His arsenal of moves allows him to take both defenders out of this play with a swift fake jab step and explode to the rim and finish with reckless abandon.

Number 2 Russ-2-Adams alley oop

No, not every spot this week was occupied by Paul George. If you’re a fan of old school hoops, you know there was a consistent rule. You have to feed the big man! One way to do so in style is via a dime from Russell Westbrook to Lord Adams for the one-handed finish.

Number 1 Raymond Felton lobs to Jerami Grant for the two-handed flush over Miami’s defense.

It’s simple boys and girls. The pick and roll is effective because it leads to results like this. veteran

guard Raymond Felton orchestrates this so beautifully, as a point guard myself it nearly brings a tear to my eyes.

Pay attention to how Jerami Grant immediately is able to read the defense and instantaneously cut to the rim for the devastating alley-oop.

While the Thunder would eventually lose to Miami at home, this was a rim-rocking play that deserves to take home the number one spot.

Next. 3 shooting veterans the OKC Thunder could sign before playoffs begin. dark
