Actions speak louder than words

Finally! Steven Adams showcases what the man-bear can do when fed a healthy diet of scoring opportunities.

A couple of weeks ago, I issued a challenge to Adams in which I asked him to capitalize on his insultingly low usage rate. More specifically, I suggested he needs to let his scoring execution speak for him in such a way that it demands he be fed the rock more often.

Boy howdy did he ever do that tonight! Adams put up an impressive 25 points and 12 rebounds on 11-of-14 shooting. To top it off, he added three assists, two steals, and one block in a well-rounded exhibition of what a grizzly bear can do in the paint.

Adams served as the cornerstone for his team’s overall performance and victory as he made buckets in every quarter, setting the tone for each new half with 10 and 8 points, respectively. Like I said when in doubt the Thunder needs to start from the ‘center’ and build out until others find their grooves, and that’s exactly what happened.
